Small Water Lilies
Water lilies with a typical mature spread of 65–90cm, suited to compact garden ponds.
Small water lilies provide balanced surface coverage and reliable flowering without dominating the pond. In favourable growing conditions, most varieties in this group will spread to approximately 65–90cm across, offering a noticeable presence while remaining proportionate in smaller water spaces.
They typically perform well when planted with around 30–60cm of water above the soil surface (measured from soil level to water surface), making them well suited to moderately shallow planting shelves and smaller garden ponds.
As growth can vary depending on feeding, sunlight and overall pond size, individual cultivars may sit toward the upper or lower end of these ranges. Always review the specific planting depth and spread guidance provided on each product page before planting.
