Small water lilies provide balanced surface coverage and reliable flowering without dominating the pond. In favourable growing conditions, most varieties in this group will spread to approximately 65–90cm across, offering a noticeable presence while remaining proportionate in smaller water spaces.
They typically perform well when planted with around 30–60cm of water above the soil surface (measured from soil level to water surface), making them well suited to moderately shallow planting shelves and smaller garden ponds.
