Bulley's primrose | Primula bulleyana

    Description

Bulley’s primrose (Primula bulleyana) is a striking moisture-loving perennial, ideal for adding vibrant colour to damp borders, stream edges and pondside planting. This candelabra primula produces elegant tiers of rich orange flowers in June and July, held high above a rosette of fresh green foliage for a bold vertical accent.

Thriving in full sun to part shade, Bulley’s primrose is well suited to the cooler, reliably moist spots in the garden where many other plants struggle. Its slow growth rate makes it a good choice for smaller spaces or carefully planned schemes, where it will not quickly outgrow its position.

As a moisture lover, Primula bulleyana works beautifully alongside other bog and marginal plants, helping to create a naturalistic, wildlife-friendly setting. The colourful summer flowers can enhance the look of any pond edge or damp garden area, bringing a warm orange glow to your planting.

              Care Instructions

Sunlight: Bulley's Primrose thrives in full sun to part shade, making it adaptable to many garden locations.

Watering: As a moisture-loving plant, it prefers consistently damp soil. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, especially during dry periods.

Growth Rate: This perennial has a slow growth rate, allowing it to develop a strong and healthy root system over time.

Maintenance: Trim back any dead or faded foliage in autumn to maintain tidy growth and prepare the plant for the next season.

Ideal for borders, mixed beds, or rock gardens, Bulley's Primrose provides vibrant orange blooms from June to July, adding stunning color to your garden.

              Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
              Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.

              Returns & problems on arrival

Because we sell live aquatic plants and molluscs, some parts of our policy work differently from standard retail.

Live plants and molluscs are perishable and are not suitable for routine returns once they have been prepared for dispatch.

If there is a genuine issue on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours using the form on our Contact page, with your order number, photographs, and a short explanation.

We will always review genuine issues carefully and fairly. Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include a replacement, refund, or partial refund where appropriate.

Please do not send anything back unless we have agreed this with you in writing first.
