Bunched Oxygenator of the Week (5 Weighted Bunches)

Description

Our Bunched Oxygenator of the Week is a simple value offer for customers who want ready-weighted oxygenating plants that can be placed directly into the pond.

Each contains five weighted bunches of the same oxygenating plant species, selected each week based on seasonal availability, plant health, and growing conditions.

Oxygenating plants grow primarily underwater, where they play a central role in maintaining pond balance. Through natural growth processes, they help regulate nutrient levels, support clear water conditions, and provide essential structure for aquatic life. Depending on the species, some may also produce surface foliage or delicate flowers above the water later in the season.

The variety supplied changes throughout the year to ensure plants are provided at their natural peak condition. Typical species may include hornwort, water violet, water crowfoot, whorled water milfoil, or willow moss.

This pack provides a reliable foundation for new ponds and strengthens ecological balance in established ponds.

Please note that for this value bundle the same species will be provided for the 5, 15 and 25 plant packs as we pick the best looking species on the day for all orders going out that day.  If you want particular varieties, please select from the product pages for each species.

If you want rooted oxygenators or a broader grower-selected planting mix, please see our Oxygenating Ponds Plants Collection.

For help choosing the right types and quantities of oxygenating pond plants for your pond, see our Oxygenating Pond Plants Guide.

Growing Instructions
  • Place the weighted bunches directly into the pond
  • The weights allow the plants to sink and settle naturally at an appropriate depth
  • Distribute bunches across the pond to allow even establishment and balanced growth
  • Depending on the species supplied, some oxygenators may remain suspended beneath the water surface, while others may settle or root naturally into the pond substrate over time
  • Both growth habits are normal and beneficial
  • New growth will appear as plants adjust to their environment.
Care Instructions
  • Oxygenating plants require minimal maintenance once established
  • If growth becomes dense during the growing season, plants may be thinned gently to maintain balance and allow light to penetrate the water
  • When thinning, place removed plant material beside the pond temporarily to allow aquatic wildlife to return safely before composting or removal.
Growers Tips
  • Seasonal selection ensures plants are supplied when they are actively growing and most capable of establishing successfully
  • Different oxygenating species occupy different levels within the water, helping create a more stable and resilient pond ecosystem
  • Introducing oxygenating plants early in the season allows them to establish before nutrient levels increase
Wildlife Tips
  • Oxygenating plants provide valuable habitat for amphibians, aquatic insects, and other pond wildlife
  • They offer shelter, spawning areas, and protection for developing aquatic life
  • Surface growth and seasonal flowers from some species may also support pollinating insects, contributing to broader garden biodiversity
Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.

Returns & problems on arrival

Because we sell live aquatic plants and molluscs, some parts of our policy work differently from standard retail.

Live plants and molluscs are perishable and are not suitable for routine returns once they have been prepared for dispatch.

If there is a genuine issue on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours using the form on our Contact page, with your order number, photographs, and a short explanation.

We will always review genuine issues carefully and fairly. Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include a replacement, refund, or partial refund where appropriate.

Please do not send anything back unless we have agreed this with you in writing first.

For full details, please see our Refunds & Returns Policy.
