Chinese marshflower | Mazus reptans

    Description

Chinese marshflower (Mazus reptans) is a low, creeping marginal pond plant that forms dense, flowering mats around the water’s edge. Native to the Himalayas, this compact plant produces masses of small purple-blue flowers from May to August, bringing long-lasting colour to the pondside in the warmer months.

Chinese marshflower is suitable for full sun to part shade, making it a versatile choice for different pond positions and mixed marginal planting schemes. Its slow growth rate helps it stay neat and controlled, ideal for smaller ponds, wildlife ponds, and ornamental water features where a delicate, ground-hugging effect is desired.

As a marginal plant, Mazus reptans helps soften pond edges and provides low cover and shelter for aquatic and garden wildlife. Use it to create a natural-looking transition between water and land while adding a carpet of summer colour to your pond margins.

      Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
      Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.
