Common monkey flower | Mimulus guttatus

    Description

The Common monkey flower (Mimulus guttatus) is a cheerful yellow marginal plant, ideal for adding long-lasting colour to the edges of ponds and bog gardens. From June to August it produces numerous bright yellow flowers, each marked with small reddish spots, creating a striking display in full sun.

This fast-growing marginal is well suited to planting in shallow water or damp soil around the pond, where it helps soften hard edges and blend your water feature into the surrounding garden. As a marginal pond plant, Common monkey flower also contributes to a healthier pond ecosystem by offering extra cover and structure at the water’s edge, which can support a range of garden wildlife.

Mimulus guttatus is a popular choice for informal, naturalistic pond settings, bringing a splash of vibrant colour through the summer months with minimal fuss.

      Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
      Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.
