Golden creeping jenny | Lysimachia nummularia aurea

    Description

Golden creeping jenny (Lysimachia nummularia ‘Aurea’) is a versatile marginal pond plant valued for its glowing golden foliage and spreading habit. Unlike the standard green form, this variety forms a bright yellow carpet that softens pond edges and brightens damp borders.

Ideal for full sun to part shade, Golden creeping jenny produces small yellow flowers from June to August, adding extra colour through the summer months. Its medium growth rate makes it useful for quickly covering bare soil at the water’s edge or trailing over rocks and the sides of ponds.

As a marginal plant, Lysimachia nummularia ‘Aurea’ helps create natural-looking pond margins, offering low cover that can contribute to shelter for aquatic and garden wildlife. Its dense mat of foliage also helps reduce light reaching the water surface, which can support a more balanced pond environment.

To maintain its tidy appearance and promote healthy growth, you can trim the plant as needed anytime during the growing season. Regular pruning helps manage its spread and keeps the foliage looking fresh and lush. Just ensure it receives adequate light and occasional trimming for the best results throughout the growing months.

      Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
      Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.
