Hemp agrimony - Dutch agrimony | Eupatorium cannabinum

    Description

Hemp Agrimony Dutch agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum) is a tall native marginal plant, ideal for adding height and soft colour to the pond edge. This vigorous grower produces bold, domed clusters of tiny, fluffy dusty pink flower heads from July to September, bringing late summer and early autumn interest to wildlife-friendly gardens.

Thriving in full sun to part shade, this pink-flowering marginal is well suited to naturalistic pond margins, wildlife ponds and damp borders. Its fast growth helps create leafy cover around the water’s edge, which can contribute to shelter and structure for pond life.

As a UK native marginal pond plant, Eupatorium cannabinum blends easily with other moisture-loving species, helping to soften hard pond edges and create a more established, natural look. Plant Hemp agrimony Dutch agrimony in shallow water or reliably damp soil around the pond to enjoy its airy flower heads and robust presence year after year.

      Care Instructions

Sunlight: Hemp agrimony thrives in locations with full sun to part shade, making it a versatile choice for various garden conditions.

Maintenance: This fast-growing marginal plant requires little maintenance. To keep it looking tidy, trim the plant as needed, but allow the foliage to die back naturally in the fall. This helps encourage the formation of winter buds for healthy growth next season.

Growth Habit: Due to its rapid growth, hemp agrimony quickly establishes itself and provides a striking vertical accent in your garden borders or water margins.

Additional Tips: Its natural flowering clusters attract pollinators, supporting local wildlife while enhancing your garden’s beauty with minimal effort.

      Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
      Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.

      Returns & problems on arrival

Because we sell live aquatic plants and molluscs, some parts of our policy work differently from standard retail.

Live plants and molluscs are perishable and are not suitable for routine returns once they have been prepared for dispatch.

If there is a genuine issue on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours using the form on our Contact page, with your order number, photographs, and a short explanation.

We will always review genuine issues carefully and fairly. Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include a replacement, refund, or partial refund where appropriate.
