Hexagonal Finofil Aquatic Plant Basket – 3 Litre

    Description

This 3 litre hexagonal aquatic basket offers a practical balance between round and square shapes. It provides a generous root volume for established marginal plants, while the multi-sided footprint sits securely and can be grouped more efficiently than round baskets.

Fine mesh construction retains aquatic compost and helps keep planting clean, while allowing water movement through the sides of the basket.

    Why choose a hexagonal basket?

Hexagonal baskets are useful when you want:

    • better space efficiency when placing several baskets together, with less wasted gap than round baskets
    • more natural, even root spread than a square profiles
    • a shape that resists rolling and sits securely like a square basket

Important note: these hexagonal baskets can be fitted with handles which make recovery of the pot so much easier and safer if you want to maintain the plant, rotate it or move it to another area of your pond. Having the ability to move the plants easily often makes the hexagonal pots more popular than the square and round Finofil 3 litre pots, which do not accept handles.

Why choose a 3 litre basket?

A 3 litre basket is well suited to plants that have moved beyond initial establishment and benefit from additional root space and stability, without stepping up to larger, heavier containers. It can be a good long-term size for many marginal planting positions, with division used to manage plants that become congested.

      Wildlife Tips
      • Dense marginal planting supports habitat and shelter at the pond edge.
      • Stable baskets help keep the substrate contained, supporting water clarity and healthier conditions for pond life.
      Ordering, Shipping, Tracking and Returns
      Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

      Returns & problems on arrival

Because we sell live aquatic plants and molluscs, some parts of our policy work differently from standard retail.

Live plants and molluscs are perishable and are not suitable for routine returns once they have been prepared for dispatch.

If there is a genuine issue on arrival, please contact us within 24 hours using the form on our Contact page, with your order number, photographs, and a short explanation.

We will always review genuine issues carefully and fairly. Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include a replacement, refund, or partial refund where appropriate.
