Vial's primrose | Primula vialii

    Description

Vial's primrose (Primula vialii) is a striking moisture-loving perennial, ideal for adding an unusual splash of colour to damp borders, bog gardens, or the edges of a pond. This distinctive primula produces upright, conical flower spikes in early summer, with bright red buds opening to dainty purple flowers for a bold two-tone effect.

Flowering in June and July, Vial's primrose brings vibrant red tones and elegant structure to planting schemes at a time when many spring primulas have finished. It thrives in full sun to part shade, making it a versatile choice for a range of garden positions where the soil stays reliably moist.

With its slow, steady growth and eye-catching flower spikes, Primula vialii works beautifully in groups or mixed with other moisture lovers to create a naturalistic, wildlife-friendly display that offers shelter and seasonal interest around water features.

        Ordering & delivery

Some products are ready for immediate dispatch, while others are sold for a later delivery period so that they can reach you in good condition and at the right point in the growing season.

The expected delivery period for the product or variant you choose will be shown below the Add to basket button and again in the basket and checkout.

30 litre plants and some larger items are sent by specialist pallet delivery rather than standard parcel.

If your order contains products with different delivery timings, it may be split into more than one shipment. Plants or products that are ready for immediate dispatch will normally be sent first, while later-season plants will be sent when they are ready. This helps us send live plants at the appropriate point in the season and in suitable condition to travel.

For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.
